Paid Internship – Broadcast and Web Programming Assistant, In-Studio Production Technician
The Broadcast and Web Programming Assistant, and In-Studio Production Technician, will be responsible for scheduling cable broadcast content, distributing content across online platforms, and assisting community producers in creating in-studio shows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Upload and catalog community-produced content and government meetings on our website and social media.
- Schedule community-produced content and government meetings for cable broadcast.
- Support community producers in in-studio show production, including studio setup, lighting and camera adjustments, importing graphics, switching shows, and uploading the final product to various platforms.
- Manage the posting of community-submitted Public Service Announcements on our broadcast server and website.
- Conduct minor editing of government meetings, adding graphical elements and addressing audio or video issues.
Learning Opportunities:

Qualifications:
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with social media and computer skills (Mac or PC).
- Film, TV, and web production experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Preferably enrolled in college, studying Communications, Film and Media Studies, or Computer Science.
- Must have transportation.
Duration and Schedule:
6 months to 1-year internship, 20-30 hours per week, with a flexible schedule between 10 am-8 pm, Monday-Friday.
Compensation and Benefits:
$15-$17 per hour, plus valuable industry experience and networking opportunities.
