Come out to support Springfield Supported Housing Programs at the Springfield Music Fest Fundraiser.
Springfield Supported Housing Program (SSHP) is a person-centered program providing resources toward safe, stable, and affordable housing options while collaborating with community partners on all aspects of housing instability. This year we are celebrating 17 years of transitional housing programs, housing assistance to individuals and families in Windham and Windsor Counties.
SSHP was founded in 2006 to assist families and individuals in Windsor and Northern Windham counties who were either experiencing homelessness, or in danger of losing their housing, to find permanent, affordable housing and receive at-home case management.
Over the year, we assisted a higher number of people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity than ever before. SSHP assisted 657 individuals with various supports, all related to housing navigation and long-term planning.
Homelessness creates real life consequences and has the potential to create mental instability. Clients are usually experiencing financial, physical and/or mental complications. SSHP case managers help to relieve some of the stress caused by finding resources to help guide individuals and families into safe and affordable housing.
